As you have probably guessed, at JoMad we have a passion for quality and that has been proven through the superiority of each strand of real hair we use. Depending on your hair type we recommend and will use either the highest quality European hair, Standard hair and for Prolin Highlights or lower cost alternative we use synthetic hair. These come in either the straight, with softwave or deepwave alternatives. European
Our European hair is luxurious and as smooth as silk and very sleek, with a slight natural wave. The colour may be entirely natural or achieved through careful processing. With the huge increase in demand for this type of hair it has become a scarce commodity. At JoMad we only order from reputable hair suppliers and have used the same ones since conception. Standard
Our standard hair which is slightly coarser than the European, comes from Asia. The cuticle has been stripped down from the hair and what may have been dark and straight may now be blonde and wavy. Whilst there are greater aftercare considerations with standard hair, this is taken into consideration where pricing is concerned and is less expensive than the Euro equivalent. Standard can however look equally fantastic and is sometimes better suited to certain hair textures, that is Afro and Asian hair more often than not. Warning - with this type of hair, individuals should be careful not to apply excessive heat as this will dry out the hair - clients will be informed during consultation if this is the type of hair they are to use. Synthetic
Finally we use synthetic hair. This is a lower cost alternative for highlights and there are over 70 colours ranging from the usual dark colours such as black, dark brown, chestnut to light blonde progressing to reds, blues, greens, purples, yellows and oranges and the list goes on! We even have neon's, royal blues, lilac & aqua for individuals to choose from in straight or classic wave. Synthetic hair can be washed just like your own hair. It can also be blow-dried at low temperatures but you can not use any ceramic irons or curling tongs as they will melt the hair. These can be used for whole heads but, more often, are used for spot extensions to add a splash of splash of colour. They are fun for parties, weddings or as fashion accessories. Bonding
JoMad uses a unique bond for which the formula has been specially designed for hair extensions. The bonds are made from a softer compound which is gentle on the hair and promotes hair growth unlike many other adhesives on the market. It is kind to hair during application and equally gentle on removal. The bonds are easy to apply and maintain, and remain unaffected by daily styling.
